CHIAPAS: HEALTH AND SEXUAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Description:

The health program in Chiapas is destined for students and professionals of medicine, nursing, ginecology, psychology, etc. in rural areas of Chiapas.
This program is divided into two sections:
- a volunteering program developing health campaigns, consultations and primary health care for indigenous communities from Lacandona Forest.
- a volunteering program about sexual education.

What means to work in these programs:

Working in health means to collaborate in projects destined to actively participate in the improvement of health conditions and health in different sides of the world where is still considered a privilege, when is a universal right. Participate in specific campaigns means to teach capacities to prevent the infectious diseases and organization of prevention workshops on health education. Also you can work in direct intervention with patients.

Volunteer profile:

To have more than 18 years old. Have a strong knowledge of Spanish. Be a student or professional of the medicine, nursing, etc.
